Made the switch from some older knockoff LEDs to these. The old beams were messy these are a huge improvement. Will still need to adjust my headlights some. Only thing I wish they would add was a little more detail on the fact that the mounting base comes off and you install it with the key. Makes it way easier to install the bulbs.
Purchased these on a Father¡¯s Day sale with low expectations. Pleasantly surprised. LED¡¯s have a terrible reputation for poor be patterns retrofitted into standard halogen housings. They are bright, but more importantly they have a decent cut off to prevent blinding on coming traffic. My application is a 1997 Toyota LandCruiser with the OEM glass housings. Now we¡¯ll see how the cooling fans hold up with all the dirt/mud of an offroad application.

Pretty cool upgrade from stock
The brightness is a great improvement over my previous bulbs. They were recommended to me by someone else with the same vehicle as upgrades from the stock halogen bulbs. There are, however, a few downsides. First is that the fit inside the housing is a bit loose, I added some tape on the tabs to make it thicker so they wouldn’t rotate. However, the bulb still uses a round fit to slide into the adapter, so there’s a chance they may rotate anyway. Due to the necessary heat dissipation, they also have a hot metal piece sticking into the engine bay, so I had to move some wires around to make sure nothing melted. The amber also appears to use a different side than the white light, so the spread for the yellow light is actually different since my housing doesn’t seem to be symmetrical. Lastly, there is still a decent amount of scattered light using this in a halogen housing. It’s not enough that I think it will bother oncoming traffic, but it’s still doesn’t look like a stock headlight bulb in a newer vehicle.
